(I wrote all of this before putting the pictures on but then we had a serious problem with our camera. To make a long story short, a bunch of the pictures got corrupted and won't work. So I'm just going to leave the words and put in what pictures I can. This blog isn't as exciting as it was supposed to be. Sorry.)
Well, it has been a complete month since we've posted but we believe we have a better excuse than Jay and KJ for taking so long (actually 4 good reasons and they all keep us very busy). We have had a very busy month. We celebrated two birthdays, Eva finished grade one and we finally sold our van and got our last shipment of things from BC. We also have been adjusting to having 4 kids. Reina has been doing really well. For those of you who don't know we had some problems in the beginning and she was losing too much weight. We eventually had to put her on formula because she just had to be like her sisters. She began to gain weight right away and gained 9.5 oz in 2 1/2 days. We went for her 1 month check up and she weighed 8 lbs 3 oz which was a relief after the big scare. The kids all adore her (although Enoch does get jealous that mommy doesn't hold him quite as much)
It was Paul's birthday on the 9th and Enoch's on the 15th. We didn't do a whole lot for Paul's birthday but for Enoch's birthday I did make him a Spiderman cake. He LOVES Spiderman!! Paul has tried not to influence his likes but he was bound to get into Spiderman anyway. To celebrate his 2nd birthday Enoch threw away his soother. (Well, he actually only got rid of it this last week but close enough) I am especially celebrating this acheivement. I went to put him down for a nap and noticed that his soother had a large crack/hole in it. since this is dangerous I told him it was broken and that he had to be a big boy like his sisters and daddy and not have a soother anymore. I told him he needed to put it in the garbage and he did. When I finally got him in his bed he was talking about how it was broken and in the garbage. He still does everytime he goes for a nap or at night time but we haven't had too much of a problem getting him down. Potty training next!!
Enoch got a tool set for his birthday and enjoyed "fixing" things in our house. He especially enjoyed hammering our bookshelf. (All of Enoch's birthday pictures got corrupted which made us very upset. They were so cute too!!!)
Reina has begun to smile at us. The kids think this is great especially the girls and they enjoy trying to get her to smile. (I will try to get some new ones of Reina smiling soon.)
(All the pictures of Reina in this blog are at least three weeks old. She has grown quite a bit since then.)

Oooooh the saliors life's for me!
(This was a blog we started but never finished, thought you would like to see it.)
We had fun on Saturday. Paul decided to take the kids to Halifax to give Heather a break. We were lucky beacause the Argintine sailing Ship the "Libertad" was visiting for this weekend only. We also walked down the boardwalk and bit and had a ride on the ferry (an activity the kids have been looking forward to.)
On the boardwalk there was a cement wave and a kind of modern art display out of ship parts. The kids enjoyed climbing all over it all.

Baby Pictures!!
Various Pictures of Reina awake.
We think she is pretty cute.
Big brother likes to hold her as often as mommy will let him. Enoch also likes to give her her soother and tries to help change her diaper.
We were trying to get a picture that shows how gangly her legs and arms are but you can't really see it in this picture that well. She has super long calves and arms.
Just a cute picture of Enoch.

The Baby is here!
Here she is! Reina (Pronounced Ray-nah) Luisa Alvarez! Born May 16th 2007. She weighed seven pounds.
The girls were excited because they wanted a girl to come all this time so they could braid her hair. Enoch didn't really know what was going on so he didn't care.
Heather and Reina stayed at the hospital a couple of days and then came home.
Luckily Enoch has not been Jealous at all. He is very gentle with Reina and calls her,"cute".
This first week has been a good we're all adjusting, so far so good.
Yay!

No Baby Yet!!
Because I am only one day overdue and yet am already tired of the question "Have you had the baby yet?" I am trying to kill some time by posting a blog. I don't really have alot to say but have a couple of pictures to post. I have been taking long walks each day in the hopes that it will bring on labour but no luck yet.
Anyway, today the whole family came with me and we had a little picnic down by the lake 10 minutes from our house.
Normally this would be a fun and relaxing thing to do but it was extremely windy out there today. You can't really tell from most of the pictures but we were getting blown away (except the one of me, my hair normally doesn't look quite that crazy).

It wasn't that cold out but the wind was so strong we didn't stay long as the kids thought the wind was too cold.
Well, that's it. Hopefully the next time we post anything we will have pictures of our new little one. We'll keep you all posted.

Happy Easter
It's been about a month since we've put anything up so we have a bunch of pictures. The kids have been enjoying the nicer weather of March although it has been very muddy. Enoch liked both sitting and eating the mud in our backyard.
He was so dirty after we stripped him down and he had a great time wandering around in his diaper. We thought these pictures were pretty cute.
While Eva is at school Lauryn and Enoch have been trying to learn to play together. Lauryn likes to play dressup and since we don't have very many boy dressup clothes Enoch gets jealous and wants to be like his big sister. We thought he makes an adorable fairy.
the kids have also learnt to be good helpers. The girls quite often do the dishes and Enoch likes to help set the table and eat whatever anyone else is eating.
We had a great Easter and had fun decorating eggs.
Paul was showing the kids how to spin eggs and they all thought it was neat, at least until the eggs fell off the table.
This picture was taken after we had finished coloring the eggs and spinning them. We only did a dozen and between spinning them and Enoch and Lauryn dropping them, about half had some serious cracks.
Easter morning was fun. Eva wrote a letter to the Easter Bunny and he wrote back which she thought was great. Lauryn was excited about her new spring dress that also had matching hair barretts. Enoch loved eating all the chocolate eggs and jellybeans he could before we could stop him. They all had a great time looking for the hidden candy.
We are doing great and looking forward to Paul starting his new job and the baby coming both in May.
I realized this blog is mostly pictures and not much words but I figure most of you just want to see how the kids are growing and how cute they are.
